Family Nurse Practitioner | Texarkana, TX
Job scope: Serves as a medical team member of Core Health Systems. This position provides primary care services to children, adolescents, and adults. Will coordinate care with local hospital systems, FQHC, and LMHA. Assists with psychiatric emergencies, coordinates with the physician to ensure appropriate treatment is identified.
Education/licensure: Nurse Practitioner; Licensed to practice medicine in Texas issued by the Texas Board of Nursing; Certificate for Texas Controlled Substances Registration issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety; Certificate for Controlled Substances Registration issued by the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, Washington; and current valid driver's license in state of residence.
Experience/Knowledge: 3-5 years experience preferred. Will consider NP with minimum 1-3 years experience in busy practice, urgent care, or ER setting. Ability to enhance positive team working relationships.
Physical requirements that are bonafide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job:
Ability and strength to sit, bend, and reach during an 8 to 10 hour day. Able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds. Sensory acuity sufficient to evaluate, treat, and monitor patient needs and maintain accurate records. Fine motor skills sufficient to legibly document and communicate. Routine 8 to 10 hour shifts with weekends off.
